As the wheel of the year turns and the veil between worlds thins, we enter a season for honoring ancestors, remembering those who’ve passed, and embracing winter’s descent. In a culture that often rushes past grief and demands brightness, Samhain invites us to sit with the difficult and unresolved. Exploring this month’s theme of difficult questions, we gather to ask: What does it mean to grieve? How do we carry the legacy of those who came before? What must we let die to let something new take root? Wherever you find yourself on this threshold, you’re welcome here.
Childcare will be available in the Treehouse from 9:15-1:15, and all ages are always welcome there during events before or after the service. Children ages 4 and older are invited to come to an all-ages children’s chapel after the Time for All Ages. We will be learning about Samhain.
Band will start rehearsal early (9:15am) before this service.
This month, we are sharing our offering plate with Bread of Life Malden.
