In 1899, the newsboys of New York City went on strike, defending their rights and challenging the overreaching power of publishers Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst. Through the lens of the movie musical and stage show Newsies, we’ll explore how they came together, pushed through adversity, and draw a wide net of solidarity in their strike.

Religious Education (RE) classes are happening this week. Children are invited to come first to the worship service before RE begins after the Time for All Ages. Childcare will be available from 9:15-1:30 in the Treehouse for our youngest community members, and all ages are always welcome there during events before or after the service.

Band will start rehearsal early (9:15am) before this service. Choir will rehearse after service from 12:15-1:30 to prepare special music for next week (10/25).

This month, we are sharing our offering plate with United American Indians of New England..
