Say the word “confession” in a Unitarian Universalist space and you might get a few raised eyebrows and anxious glances, particularly from those with ties to Catholicism. Yet many traditions have some form of confession, be it to another human or privately in prayer or meditation. Are there any spiritual benefits to confession?
