Spring Semester (January – June 2025)

  • Roots (Ages 0-3): Child-directed play supported by professional childcare staff
  • Saplings (Ages 4 – 6): OWL ~ Our Whole Lives is our sexuality education program focused on learning about topics like bodies, gender, families, and consent.
  • Branches (Ages 7-9) & Leaves (Ages 9-13):
    • Drawing Differences ~ Children will be participating in this program designed by the national non-profit EmbraceRace, aimed at helping young people understand race and have tools for discussing it.
    • Living Our Values ~ Our Branches and Leaves groups will be focusing this spring on UU shared values and figuring out how to translate them into action.

For all our children:

  • All Ages Events – Once a month or so, we host an All Ages Children’s Chapel or special event instead of RE classes. This is a program where all children have an opportunity to learn together regardless of age. Lessons are around the worship themes of the month and involve stories, crafts, and games.
  • Multi-Generational Services – Children are always welcome in worship and the noises they make are sacred. However, about once a month we have a service specifically designed to be inclusive of all ages, and there are no separate Religious Education classes on these days.

Children and COVID Safety
In order to keep everyone safe, we ask that children with any symptoms stay home. All children who are eligible to receive a vaccine are strongly recommended to do so. We have masks available if you prefer to wear one, and we have special services where we ask everyone to mask.

If you have questions about an RE program for your child or want to get on our weekly newsletter, contact DRE Sara at [email protected].
