Small Groups
“People come to church longing for, yearning for, hoping for … a sense of roots, place, belonging, sharing and caring. People come to a church with a search for community, not committee.” — Glenn Turner
A different way of doing church
Small groups deepen connection between individuals and broaden personal spiritual growth. A group usually consists of 8-10 members who meet at a set location, usually once every two weeks. Each meeting is focused on a spiritual or religious topic, and is led as an informal discussion.
Current small groups at First Parish in Malden include:
Wise Individuals and Feisty Individuals (Wifi)
Meets twice monthly for lunch to discuss our monthly worship themes and spend time with food and fellowship. Visit the Events page for the next meeting time/location.
The Young and The Thirsty
Meets every third Friday at Hugh O’Neill’s Pub (45 Pleasant St. in Malden) at 7pm for drinks and discussion. All are welcome – young or young-at-heart!
